TRC offers a selection of portable notebook computer systems and add-on technology that may be combined to fit the needs of a variety of multimedia applications, especially video applications. These systems are suitable for anyone who needs the advantages of an advanced multimedia system as well as the mobility of a notebook. The video capabilities of TRC's multimedia notebook systems are particularly powerful. By taking advantage of the optional sub-station and docking station, it is possible to add either standard ISA or PCI PC cards, an MPEG Decoder, and even Video Conferencing technology. Both the MPEG device and the Video Conferencing device will play video on the notebook's LCD display. The Video Conferencing option also allows video and audio communication over the Internet or over any TCP/IP network.

For those interested in TRC's advanced time and motion study products, The Observational Coding System Toolset, a PC-VC card with VITC Timecode Reader/Generator and/or VCR Control can be added to a notebook system by adding either a docking station or sub-station.
